User Experience and design of Navigation Structure
Challenge Update the style of elements and conduct a UX/UI analysis of the Admin Area menu structure.
In the new software version, the decision has been made to refresh the style of key elements and reassess the navigation structure based on new functionality, client feedback, and testing. To begin, we conduct an analysis of the existing functionality. Here's what we're working with: the current functionality.
The analysis of the structure began with dissecting the core tasks – dealing with the catalog and products. Flow charts were created. As a result, the "Product Catalog" sections were analyzed, and during menu testing, hypotheses were deconstructed and every function was enhanced. For example, the banner management section is significant enough to deserve a separate post, but here, we'll present an overview of the overall scope of work. The appearance of the panel has been altered. I relocated the most commonly used sections to the side panel, enhancing the overall visibility of the interface.
Suggested creating a separate mode for editing CSS, templates, and text labels to eliminate errors resulting from accidental clicks (based on user feedback)
Improvements to the Layout Editor are ongoing. It is currently in the testing phase, but positive feedback is already coming in :)
